10 Years EU MODEX Anniversary Show

The 100 minute long, english language “10 Years EU MODEX Anniversary Show” had its premiere on the 27th of March at 19:00 CET. The show starts by telling the story of the beginning of EU MODEX, then slowly progresses to the present and ends by outlining the hopes and plans for EU MODEX in the future.

Live Event

The 10 Years EU MODEX Anniversary Show is the definitive event celebrating and telling the story of one successful decade of EU MODEX. In this full length, English language Anniversary Show the excitement never lets up from start to finish.

The idea behind EU MODEX and first-person stories of the early days is told by the very first Desk Officer Anja Brammann. Martin Thomsen guides us through the detailed ruins of the Civil Protection training ground in Tinglev, Denmark. We hear reports on rescEU, the current pandemic crisis, and the outlook on the future from Dr. Raed Arafat, and current EU MODEX Desk Officers Donatella Salvi and Gerard Guerin. EU Commissioner Janez Lenarčič explains why EU MODEX is more important than ever, and the new Mascot is introduced to the world. Valuable information is added in all the right places so that people who have not yet experienced EU MODEX can follow along.

But most importantly, this show tells the story of the men and women who are taking the new knowledge and skills which they learned during EU MODEX out into the world to become better and more effective Civil Protection responders. This show was made by and for the European Civil Protection Community. It is your Anniversary, and it is your Show.
