Baltic Sea Expansion

Future of EU MODEX

It is also the hope that someday new modules will be added to exercise in EU MODEX. MODEX is not limited to land-based emergencies. EU MODEX marine pollution could be a new opportunity for at-sea and shoreline responders to exercise a more integrated management of complex environmental disasters that pose a risk of oil and chemical pollution to our seas and coasts. Experiences gained so far from other civil protection exercises are ready to be shared with different response communities at land and sea for more coordination across sectors and could join forces with EU MODEX.

On behalf of Akela Corporation Oy I would like to express my interest in participating from 26 February to 3 March 2023 in the discusions about the joint, transnational offshore and shoreline response after a major accident at sea. Especially in the DBX EU MODEX conference on 2 March 2023 in the Art Factory in Porvoo, to hear about joint approaches and links with the response to real maritime accidents. Furthemore i would be interested to know how you plan to compile, focus and present information on current developments on these fields.
