During EU MODEX events, the ability to provide a high-quality exercise environment for the participating modules and teams is just as important as the conduction and coordination of the overall exercise. To manage exercise personnel and scenario content, the Exercise Control Tool was developed. It is specialized for field exercises but flexible for the inclusion of decentralized and multinational settings.

Using the Exercise Control Tool, EU MODEX is now capable of delivering exercises to connected participants and modules even from their home-countries. In this way, they can exercise together, e.g. in the EU Civil Protection Team, UCC or EMTCC, under pandemic conditions and beyond, without having to be present at the exercise site itself.
