Faces of EU MODEX

What does EU MODEX mean to me?

EU MODEX has been my professional life for the past five years, it's a kind of European Civil Protection family, it emulates some of what is great about Europe, it represents solidarity, empathy, respect, professionalism and the desire to help others in their hour of need. It is a real privilege and honour for me to work with one of the flagships of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, EU MODEX, to be entrusted, along with my colleagues, with the responsibility to lead and actively participate in the evolution of EU MODEX and to ensure that EU response capacities are better prepared for International deployments.

What are my wishes for the future of EU MODEX?

My wishes for the future of EU MODEX is that we emerge from this pandemic stronger, with a renewed purpose. EU MODEX must continue to be a flexible meaningful platform which really does test the capacity and capability of Modules, TAST, other response capacities and Experts. EU MODEX must continue meeting the needs of response capacities, whilst at the same time evolving and changing to meet the new and emerging threats of the future.
