Prof. Björn Stockleben

Björn Stockleben is a professor of new media production at Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. His current research areas comprise data-driven media production, creative online collaboration and virtual reality production. He holds a Masters degree in Media Sciences, Media Technology and Computer Sciences from Technische Universität Braunschweig and Braunschweig University of Art in 2003.
From 2010-2016 he coordinated the Cross Media master programme at University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal. Before that, he worked as technical manager and UX consultant in EC and ESA funded research projects such as HBB-NEXT, ARTES-COTV and TV-Ring at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandeburg innovation project group.
He coordinated the Erasmus+ partnership "OnCreate" on creative processes in online collaboration and currently runs the follow-up project “Emerging Media Exploration” on teaching emerging media technologies and content in a transnational setting. He also leads an augmented reality simulation development for desaster management training in the project oKat-SIM (funded by German ministry of research).
